My husband Michael and I come from two entirely different backgrounds. He was raised in California and I in Florida. Michael came from an entertainment background and played drums professionally for over twenty years before he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. I was brought up in the Catholic religion until 1976 when the Holy Spirit called me out of religion and filled me with His precious Holy Spirit.

 

In 1976 one of the gifts that the Lord gave me was moving prophetically. When I met Michael in 1988, we were the two most unlikely people to have a relationship.

 

What does someone who moves prophetically and someone who comes from an entertainment background have in common? It almost seems like a conflict of interests. doesn’t it?

But God’s ways are not our ways. I would love to tell you that we fell madly and deeply in love but that wouldn’t be the truth. However, It has now been twenty years and the Holy Spirit has weaved us into the people He wants us to be, not who we thought we were going to be and even with our ups and downs we are still together and have real love not the love that disappears when trials come.

 

 In 1990 after we submitted to the direction we felt the Lord wanted us to take, the Holy Spirit began to inspire me to write down words and melodies to songs. From there Michael’s talents kicked in and he helped me put what I was getting to music. Michael showed me how to play the keyboard in a simplistic way so that I would be able to record what I was hearing.

 

As believers in Jesus we all have different testimonies and places of where we came from. God can use our backgrounds to teach and encourage each other because the testimony of Jesus is the true spirit of prophecy. We are not performers but hope that by singing the scripture it will help people to meditate on God’s word and get filled with the Holy Spirit in these perilous times we are facing. We do not come from a know it all understanding and just like every believer all we have at this moment is to live for today for none of us know what tomorrow holds for us. Every prophetic word is for myself as well as the church. The Bible was written to every believer with all of its conditions and warnings and comforts.

 

As in the book of Genesis, when the Spirit of God moved, God created. Creatively in the Arts, I like to make things from discards. Not to save the planet but to use them as object lessons in scriptural applications.
