In 1990 the Holy Spirit moved on my husband Michael and I to marry, for ministry. We obeyed. To make a long story short, our lives have taken on many twists and turns. Even though I asked Jesus into my heart in 1976, it wasn't until 1991 that I was able to read the book of Revelation. It was completely hidden from me. We are not date setters, but we believe God wants us to share with you some of the ways He taught us the end time message over these past 17 years. It has been an adventure to say the least. We want to introduce you to some of the friends we met along the way, some of the churches that we have visited to our horror, some of the teachings, trials and testings that He has had us go through as well as share with you some of the songs He has placed upon our hearts.
We are in appointed times. Jesus tells us what signs we are to look for. When He decides to come back for His church really isn't the issue. The issue is in our daily lives. Our lives can end at any moment and do to unpopular belief, we do not have the power to decide when the day is that we have to face eternity as individuals. With all the disasters around us such as the tornado at Enterprise or in Kansas, those lives were cut short. While God chooses to use willing vessels, most of the time He chooses vessels that are not professional so that our dependence is on Him and Him only. Think about this for a moment. God loved mankind so much and He knew what perilous times were ahead, that even in our sinful state He sent us a comforter to live inside our hearts. Is this comforter available to everyone? Only to those who call out to Jesus, recognizing that they are sinners and who choose to put God back on His throne.
I laugh when I hear so many people verbalizing that they do not want to focus on negativity...only positive things. Even though you choose not to see the negativity, it is all around us. Even as I write this letter in Florida we are all under a health alert. The smoke is so bad from over 200 fires in our state and Georgia that we are told to stay in- doors because of respiratory health concerns. Trying to visualize the smoke away, is foolishness. Our time would be more usefully spent in doing what Jesus tells us to do in the Bible and that is to keep watch and be sober!
- 1 Thessalonians 5
- 1Th 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
- 1Th 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
- 1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
- 1Th 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
- 1Th 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
- 1Th 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as [do] others; but let us watch and be sober.
- 1Th 5:7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
- 1Th 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
- 1Th 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
- 1Th 5:10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
- 1Th 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
